Brisbane will be the former world number one’s preparation for the Australian Open, which starts on January 14th.

Osaka is hoping to return to form in women’s tennis after a tough year. She has spoken publicly about her struggles with mental health issues and has taken steps to protect her privacy, including quitting social media.

The Brisbane International will be a tough test for Osaka, with a field that includes world No. 1 Iga Swiatek, world No. 2 Ons Jabeur and world No. 3 Aryna Sabalenka.

However, Osaka is one of the most talented players in the world, with a proven track record at the Australian Open. She has won the title in 2019 and 2021 and is looking to repeat her success this January.
